We are currently on the lookout for highly motivated and skilled Bakers and Pastry Chefs to join our team of baking enthusiasts. As the heart and soul of our Central Kitchen, you will have the chance to showcase your creativity, elevate our menu, and delight customers with your extraordinary baking skills. It is also crucial that you are able to maintain consistency in production and work with the team in a fair, efficient, and hygienic manner.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Work responsibly with our Central Kitchen Baking team, and foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Develop and innovate an array of artisanal bread, pastries, tarts, and desserts, ensuring exceptional taste, texture, and presentation consistently.
  • Create and enhance recipes, experimenting with unique flavors, ingredients, and techniques to delight our customers' palates.
  • Maintain high-quality standards in all aspects of baking, from ingredient selection to production processes, ensuring consistency and excellence.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, incorporating innovative ideas into our menu and staying one step ahead of competitors.
  • Collaborate with the management team to plan and execute seasonal promotions, special events, and menu enhancements to drive customer engagement and satisfaction.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines, maintaining a clean and organized bakery environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a head baker or pastry chef, demonstrating expertise in a wide range of baking techniques and specialties.
  • Passion for creativity and innovation, constantly seeking to push boundaries and surprise customers with unique and memorable baked goods.
  • Strong leadership skills, capable of motivating and guiding a team to achieve exceptional results.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, ensuring efficient production schedules and timely delivery of baked goods.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices to maintain a hygienic and safe baking environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing demands and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic bakery setting.
  • A positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.

As a member of our Service Crew, you will hold a vital role in delivering unparalleled customer service and ensuring the seamless operation of our cafe. Areas of Responsibility

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them in choosing from our menu offerings.
  • Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Operate food preparation equipment and maintain cleanliness and sanitization of workstations.
  • Handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately.
  • Provide prompt and friendly service, addressing any customer inquiries or concerns.
  • Ensure food displays are appealing and adequately stocked with fresh products.
  • Follow proper food safety and hygiene procedures, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in inventory management, including restocking supplies and monitoring stock levels.
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain a clean and organized food environment.
  • Follow company policies and procedures, including uniform and grooming standards.
  • Support promotional activities and contribute to achieving sales targets.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service or food service role cum barista is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining food quality and presentation.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and operating the POS system.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
